JavaFX is a great new technology to create expressive, feature-rich content in rich client applications.

Sun Microsystems is currently working on JavaFX 2.0, where it's functionality will be moved from JavaFX Script to Java API's.

Below are a couple of screenshots of a simple test GUI created with the JavaFX Composer in the NetBeans IDE 6.9.1. This GUI includes some kinda over the top graphics, that change as the GUI is switched between states.

By clicking the small button in the Category/Location text box, the form will toggle between states to show different data, different charts and different settings on the same graphics.
